Athens Bicycle Club, formed in 1971, offers opportunities to network with other cyclists through club meetings, electronic communications, events, and rides.

Blennerhassett Bicycle Club is comprised of cyclists of all ages and skill levels. The club promotes community, social, training, and competitive bicycling events, and supports bicycle advocacy and charitable programs in the Mid-Ohio Valley. Members come from Parkersburg, Marietta, Vienna, Belpre, Williamstown, and nearby areas.

The Hockhocking Adena Bikeway Advisory Committee meets the second Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Community Center in Athens. All meetings are open to the public.

The Moonville Rail Trail Association is a non-profit organization established in 2001 to build and maintain the muscle-powered Moonville Rail Trail system. The trail will extend from Red Diamond near Zaleski, through the hills of Vinton County, and end near Grosvenor in Athens County, where it will connect to the Hockhocking Adena Bikeway.
